1. 动物 & 环境

Examples of acceptable service: Trash pickup with 西雅图 Parks & 矩形, 动物军团志愿者, 与西雅图农业联盟合作的园艺项目, 与地球兵团一起进行环境修复, 西雅图水族馆青年倡导组织的志愿者.

Examples of unacceptable service: Dog walking or pet sitting for neighbors/friends, picking up trash in a neighborhood/park without being associated with a nonprofit group, 在家里为动物保护协会制作狗玩具, 在家养宠物, 为一个环保非营利组织筹款. 

2. 儿童(中学或以下)

Note:  This must be under the direction of a nonprofit organization and cannot be with family or for Bishop Blanchet students or teams. 学生必须直接和孩子们一起工作. Providing assistance that does not involve interaction with children will not be acceptable.

Examples of acceptable service: Tutoring students at an elementary school, 通过男孩训练一支球队 & 女子俱乐部/青年会，协助教会主日学.

Examples of unacceptable service: Cleaning elementary school classrooms, 成为mgm美高梅app运动的团队经理, 帮助弟弟妹妹/朋友做作业, 照顾表妹/家人, 协调学校物资供应活动, 为一所学校筹款. 

3. 长者或智障人士 

Note:  This must be under the direction of a nonprofit organization and cannot be at Bishop Blanchet or for family. 学生必须直接与老年人一起工作, 有生理或智力障碍的人, 或者是患有疾病的人. Providing assistance that does not involve interaction will not be acceptable.

Examples of acceptable service: Visiting residents at a nursing home or assisted living facility, 帮助特奥会的运动员, 在麦当劳之家举办家庭电影之夜, 在亚伦家做志愿者.

Examples of unacceptable service: Helping an elderly neighbor with her garden, 照顾生病的家庭成员, 在养老院整理储物柜, 参加“生命接力”, working a fundraising event for a home for people with disabilities. 

4. 贫困人口

This must be under the direction of a nonprofit organization.

Examples of acceptable service: Sorting donations at Ballard Food Bank, serving meals at St. Martin de Porres shelter, cooking and serving at Teen Feed, helping guests choose clothing at St. 弗朗西斯的房子.

Examples of unacceptable service: Making sandwiches at home and delivering them to people downtown, 在附近组织一次食物募捐活动, 给教堂的募捐捐款, 参加慈善跑步/步行, 为收容所筹款.

必须输入10个服务时间  移动服务 2024年1月2日. 所有20个小时必须在MobileServe中输入 2024年5月6日. 

• Students may not earn service hours through an auction, fundraiser, or other philanthropic event

• 学生不可以旷课来赚取服务时间

• Students will not be approved for more than 4 service hours on a school day or 8 hours on a non-school day.

• Organizations must be 501(c)3 recognized by the State of 华盛顿 as a nonprofit.

• 不接受独立组织的项目.e. making food at home and distributing it downtown, helping a neighbor).

• 家属无法核实工作时间.

• Student must answer the reflection provided in 移动服务 that corresponds to their grade level

• Students volunteering with an organization not listed on the approved list, 将需要提交批准申请表格, and have it approved by the 服务 Coordinator before serving at the event. Students serving at an event that was not pre-approved may have their hours denied.

有两种方法可以让工作时间得到批准. 

Option 1: Once service hours have been entered in 移动服务, 发送电子邮件给主管进行验证. 在主管核实工时后, the hours will need to be approved by the Bishop Blanchet 服务 Coordinator. Students will receive email notifications from MobileServe when hours have been approved or denied.

选项2:在做服务的时候, you can utilize additional features via the MobileServe app  to verify your service hours. In order to verify without email approval from a service provider, you must provide all four the following through the MobileServe app

• An email address of your supervisor while doing the service 

• 地理标签，验证您在使用服务时的位置

• 由您在服务地点的主管签字

• 你做服务的照片

这三个都完成之后, the hours will need to be approved by the Bishop Blanchet 服务 Coordinator. Students will receive email notifications from MobileServe when hours have been approved or denied.

2023- 2024学年, 获得信用, students must have 20 hours of approved service completed and entered on MobileServe by 2024年5月6日. Students can begin logging hours in MobileServe for the 2024-2025 school year on 2024年6月3日.
